With only 8 weeks left in 2019, now is the time to buckle down and work on knocking your goals out of the park. Even if your goals feel a long way off, there’s still 8 weeks of opportunity at your fingertips that can make a world of difference. Tip 1: Write It Down
Get your goals down on paper! Writing down your goals increases your chance of achieving them. A written reminder not only keeps you accountable, it also reminds you what you’re working towards. With 2020 only weeks away, now is the time to start writing and get to work.
Tip 2: Get A Game Plan
Every good goal has a solid plan behind it. Assess where you are, what you want to achieve, and do some research. Find out what it takes to get where you want to be and create action steps surrounding it. Not having an idea on how to achieve your goal can easily lead to overwhelm. Eliminate the guesswork and get a game plan.
Tip 3: Focus and Re-Prioritize
Take some time to get very clear on what you want and why you want it. When you add extra depth like having a “why” behind your goal, it helps you stay focused when motivation starts to dip. When you’re focused, you can identify more opportunities to re-prioritize how you spend your time, what you put effort towards, and how you utilize the last few weeks of 2019.
Tip 4: Avoid Distractions and Excuses
If you’re not careful, there will “never be enough time” to do anything. Block off specific times during your day or week to work on achieving your resolutions and stick to it.
