Space Shuttle Shoots to “Finish Strong”
Space team adopts mantra for year’s end launch
by Jessica Aymond
United States aerospace, defense, research, design, development, and manufacturer, Lockheed Martin, shoots for the stars with 2010’s last space shuttle launch. Finish Strong, LLC has licensed Lockheed Martin the rights to use, “Finish Strong” on the commemorative tee shirt for 2010’s last launch later this year.
Finish Strong founder and CEO, Dan Green, published his first book, Finish Strong, More Than a Statement, it’s an Attitude in 2008. Since that time, his message has inspired hundreds of thousands to adopt the life attitude, ”Finish Strong” through his notable books, movies, fitness apparel and accessories. Most recently, in the spring of 2009, Drew Brees, quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, handed out a copy of Green’s book, Finish Strong, to each one of his team members. From then on, “Finish Strong” was the Saint’s performance mantra for the off, pre and post season. This mantra certainly paid off when the Saints won the Super Bowl against the Indianapolis Colts in February 2010.
Lockheed Martin was inspired by the impact ‘Finish Strong’ had on the Saints’ world championship victory and hopes the powerful message will encourage a successful launch. The commemorative t-shirts will be handed out to the Space Shuttle External Tank team based in New Orleans to inspire them as they prepare for their last launch of the year.
